Event Recap: 2022/2023 Cal North State Cup

RIPON, Calif. (April 22-23, 2023) - The most important event in northern California for competitive teams took place this past weekend at Mistlin Sports Park in Ripon, California as Cal North crowned several State Cup Champions. 

Cal North State Cup for the U9-U12 age groups was originally scheduled for December 3-4, 2022. While the tournament did manage to get one day of competition on December 3rd, the second day was postponed due to inclement weather at River Island Sports Park.

For the younger age groups, the second day was played on Saturday April 22nd, having their third group stage game followed by the finals. 

For the U13-U19 age groups, this weekend crowned the top teams in northern California for each age group as the Champions earned the right to go on and represent their clubs & communities at the 2023 US Youth Soccer Far West Regional Championships in Boise, Idaho. 

The U12 Boys & Girls Cal North State Cup Champions also earned the right to compete at the 2023 US Youth Soccer Far West Regional Championships, this is the top honor for this age group, as there is no Nationals event following Regionals.
