SACRAMENTO, CA (Feb. 8, 2022) — The Consulate General of Mexico in Sacramento and the Institute for Mexicans Abroad, in collaboration with Cal North Youth Soccer and Alliance Sports Association, are pleased to invite you on February 9 at 10:00 AM to a virtual meeting to the presentation of the Cinco de Mayo tournament, which will take place in Sacramento from April 30th to May 1st, within of the Binational Sports Week.
Cal North, founded in 1969, has become the largest soccer organization in Northern California, bringing together more than 200 affiliated clubs and leagues. Approximately 300 teams and thousands of people are expected to participate in the Northern California region alone.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide information on how they could participate and support the promotion of the tournament that will allow the integration of the community, strengthening its identity in the framework of what in recent years has become a celebration of "Mexican identity".
