| Dear friends! Our summer program this year: “Let’s Move, Jonestown” was a big success. You can read more about it in the summer newsletter. Children from ages 2-10 came out for nutritious snacks, lunch, movement activities, and learning about the digestive system, as well as studying different fruits and vegetables. The Delta has a 35% childhood obesity rate and we’re doing all we can to reduce this appalling statistic.
We were thrilled in August to have visitors from Gold Strike Casino, who presented us with a check for $10,000. Thank you, Gold Strike! Again, we thank you, our friends, for supporting us. We need to keep on giving children a “little help, a little hope, and someone who believes in them.”(Magic Johnson)
