Insurance coverage is a basic benefit each player receives as a member of Cal North in addition to comprehensive health & safety protocols and procedures that ensure the well being of each child. If your child is injured in a Cal North sanctioned league or tournament, they may qualify for medical coverage.
Below are some of the frequently asked questions regarding the Injury Claim process.
The first thing you need to do is complete the Injury Claim form (button). This in an online
link that you will complete by answering some questions so it can be determined if your child is
eligible for coverage.
Your child must have incurred their injury as a properly registered and participating soccer
player on a team that is registered with a league that is currently affiliated with California Youth
Soccer Association-North (Cal North). This will be determined from the information you have
entered in the Claim Information Form.
Once your child is deemed eligible, you will receive an email response that will direct you to
complete a form for our Insurance carrier that will ask you specific information regarding the
players team, where and how the incident occurred, and specifics of the injury. If your child is
deemed ineligible, it is likely they play for a competitor and we recommend contacting their
office.
Once the player is deemed eligible and the Insurance Claim to the carrier has been filed, you
will hear from the insurance carrier directly. They will instruct you on what they need for you
to submit in order to get claims processed and paid. This process can move quickly as long as
you respond to any inquiries from either the Cal North office or Insurance carrier.
