      Cal North mandates that all coaching, staff members, and volunteer participants utilizing the GotSport platform must successfully fulfill the four essential prerequisites for Risk Management. This imperative measure is instituted to ensure the safety and well-being of our players. The four requisite components encompass LiveScan verification, background checks, Safesport training, and Introduction to Safe and Healthy Playing Environments. 

      For Coaches & Volunteers 

      Thank you for volunteering your time! We deeply appreciate our coches and volunteers for their unwavering dedication and commitment in investing their time. Whether you are embarking on your coaching journey for the first time or are a seasoned returning coach, it is essential for all coaches and volunteers to fulfill the four mandatory risk management requirements for the current seasonal year. The only requirement that should carry over if you coached or volunteered the prior year is the Livescan. All other prerequisites must be completed annually. To assist you in this process, we have provided step-by-step guides for each requirement, designed to facilitate a smoother clearance process and get you onto the field quicker!

      Below are the four requirements each club staff, coach or administrator must fulfill in order to be cleared to participate with us.

      Intro to Safety
      The U.S. Soccer's introductory course on preventing, recognizing and responding to emergency situations. The e-learning module will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

      Livescan
      Live scan is an automated service for criminal history background checks that may be required as a condition of employment, licensing, certification, foreign adoptions or VISA/Immigration clearances.
      Back ground Check
      A background check is a process a person or company uses to verify that an individual is who they claim to be, and this provides an opportunity to check and confirm the validity of someone's criminal record, education, employment history, and other activities from their past.
